Friday Flashback #38 - Dreams

Welcome to Friday, August 17, 2007 and the 38th edition of my Friday Flashback. This week I was listening to a CD of MP3's on my new car stereo. This is a disc burned from an old laptop I had back in the days of Napster and has quite a variety of files. I think my biggest surprise was the audio from one of the Budweiser comercials with the wassup guys, but it was the white yuppie version "What are YOU doing?"
Somewhere around track #130 I hit "Life in a Northern Town" by Dream Academy and that was the inspiration of this week's flashback. I will also mention that if you saw Ferris Bueller's Day Off, then you have heard more Dream Academy as they supplied the instrumental piece playing when the kids are in the art museum and Cameron gets totally absorbed in a piece. So enjoy this week and pan down for some laughs on my Thursday Thirteen - Comic Quotes.

Dream Academy - Life in a Northern Town

Van Halen - Dreams

Crowded House - Don't Dream It's Over

Crowded House is coming to town sometime in September. I'd like to go to the show, but I've got too much other stuff going on (like poverty) to realistically afford going to the show. However, if my business idea of selling scrapple sandwiches door-to-door takes off, I may change my mind.
