Long Day

It's Sunday, well, technically Monday, and I am home chilling before going to bed. Amy and I stayed up late last night watching movies. We saw Blades of Glory and 1408. Both were good, and I will write reviews of some sort tomorrow (today actually). Blades was better than I expected, but I don't know that that is saying much. 1408 was pretty freaky and Amy and both really like John Cusack, so I guess he's stretching out a bit. I also watched The Departed this week. It was good, and it was bloody.

So we were up late, and the alarm went off at 7:30 and I managed to turn off the alarm rather than hit snooze. Amy woke us at 8:15, leaving about half an hour to be out the door for church. We took separate cars because I had to work after services and she had to work tonight. The service was good, on Gentleness, and the pastor that gave the sermon is one of the two that have adopted from China.

When the service ended I went downstairs to start training in the church bookstore, which will be my first and primary volunteer duty. I got done about 1:15 and made it home to eat lunch, change clothes, and head to work at Walgreens, so I had a 3-11:30 shift to work tonight. It was pretty quiet, so I worked on inventory of supplies, some paperwork, and the stocking/clearing the cooler. I also spent some time training a new employee on weekly maintenance on the machines. We're about done the Christmas reset, so we are focusing on an upcoming visit from the regional VP.

Now, I'm off to bed.

So during the after holiday sales, do you get an employee discount on top of clearance? That would make working at one of those stores worth it all in itself!

Yes, yes I do get the discount (15%) and right now all the Fall stuff is half off and so it's be 15% off of half price.

I got freaked out just watching previews for 1408, so I'm sure I couldn't handle watching the whole movie. :) Have you seen Cusack in Identity? That's another freaky movie, but in a different sort of way.
