Sunday Lunch Date

So Amy and I had our Last Supper with Valfrey as they are preparing to leave their matrimonial aprtment for a life of living above Valerie's parents back among the cotton fields in Millington, TN.

We dined at Maggiano's on things like chicken and spinach manicotti, four-cheese ravioli, humongous portions of cheesecake and a baked apple/ice cream desert. We mainly talked about people from Union University, where Amy, Jeff, and Valerie attended college. I visited there once after Amy and I were married, so I mainly spent my time listening to their stories and trying to contribute when I could remember correctly the names of those I had actually met.

We will miss this pair of friends. If nothing else, we'll have another reason to travel to west Tennessee. It'll be to see Jeff and Val, and to see cotton fields. You can never see enough cotton fields.

You have to pick your own cotton, but don't stop too much when meeting us down in Tunica!
