Ten on Tuesday #4

Ten Movies I love to Quote...

What a great theme!

In no particular order...

Blazing Saddles - "Excuse me while I whip this out." "More beans Mr. Taggert? I think you've had enough!" "Are we awake? I don't know, are we....black? Yes, we are. Then we're awake, but we're VERY confused."

The Blues Brothers - "What kind of music do you usually have here? Oh, we have both kinds! Country AND Western!" "It's 106 miles to Chicago. We have a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it!"

The Princess Bride - "My name is Indigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." "Have fun storming the castle!" "There's a shortage of perfect breasts in the world, would be a pity to damage yours."

Any and all Kevin Smith Movies (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma, Clerks II) - "Why do you want to go you hate people? But I love gatherings, isn't it ironic?" "Tell her about the elevator. What about the elevator? It goes up and down." "Fictional characters!" "In our day we walked everywhere, ever heard of a fat apostle?" "We prefer to call it inter-species erotica."

That's 10, but I'll call the Kevin Smith ones as one...

Major League - "This guy's dead! Well, cross him off then!" "Is very bad, to drink Jobu's rum!" "Who's that guy she's with? I'don't know, he's not wearing a name tag. Want me to drag him outside and kick his ass?"

Tin Cup - "You can't ask advice about the lady you're trying to hose from the lady you're trying to hose!" "You just threw that in the spa." "It was a defining moment, and when a defining moment happens you either define the moment or the moment defines you."

Animal House - "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" "Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son." "It's not going to be an orgy. It's a toga party"

The Breakfast Club - "Neo-maxie-zoom-dweebie" "Does Barry Manilow know that you raid his closet?" "Claire is a fat girls name"

Top Gun - "Hey Goose! Yeah baby! Take me to bed or lose me forever." "I feel the need, the need for speed." "You must have carnal knowledge, of a lady this time..." "Negative Ghost Rider the pattern is full."

Braveheart - "Every man dies, not every man really lives." "God tells me He can get me out of this mess , but He's pretty sure you're F____d." "Before we let you leave, your commander must cross that field, present himself before this army, put his head between his legs, and kiss his own arse. "

Oh those are all great ones, too! There are so many movies with great quotes, it was kinda hard to narrow it down....but I managed. Yours are great, tho!

Good list. Thanks for reminding me of one of the best John Belushi moments in history. "Germans?" "Forget it, he's rolling."

Great list. I'm with PJD with Animal House. Lots of classic quotes there.

Great picks! It was hard to keep it to just 10 wasn't it?

Breakfast CLub is one of my all-time favs.
Isn't MEl Brooks great - Blazing Saddles reminds me of History of the World Part 1 - too funny.
Thanks for sharing,
