So this evening Amy went to work, and I accepted a friend's invitation to a men's ministry at a local mega-church that has a pastor who holds the highest position in a large denomination, not to name names. :)


So we were in a large meeting room, certainly not the sanctuary, regular low ceiling and flourescent lights. On a foot-high riser there was a band. On either side of the riser stood a portable screen on which the lyrics were displayed. (without moving squiggles or starbursts).

100 or so men sang in unison. One song I did not know. Then "You Are God Alone" and finally "How Great Is Our God combined with How Great Thou Art."

It was awesome.
