Wordless Wednesday - Pandamonium

A tribute to our guest. The panda cub at the National Zoological Park in Washington, D.C. (which is part of the Smithsonion Institute) has had his stay here extended another 2 years!

great pics--how did you get so close?

I was outside the display area with the rest of the visitors. I manuevered to the best spot I could and used my height (6'2") and my camera (Canon Rebel Digital SLR) to my advantage. The camera is digital but uses changable lenses like my old 35mm so I attached a zoom lens for closer shots, much better than the $75-$300 credit-card sized digitals most people use.

That is so adorable! Did you take that picture yourself? I enjoyed looking at it...and so does my three year old.

I had a great dream about panda when I was little. That dream made me kinda obsessed with that animal, for a while.

Love it that you post these pics. Thanks...

I love Panda Bears, they are so cuddly, but then I don't think I'd want to cuddle up next to one. Lovely pictures

So cute! I lived in the DC area for about 4 years and we loved going to the National Zoo. The pandas were always sleeping when we went, though, LOL. Great pictures!

In my teeange years, I lived in Northern Virginia, and I was enthralled with the pandas. You could only find me watching them. The rest of the zoo? Never saw it.

Great photos. Everytime I've been to the zoo the pandas have been sleeping.

I love Tai. I've been following him ever since he was born. I'm really looking forward to going to DC sometime to see him. Have you seen Mei Lan in Atlanta yet? I have a membership but haven't been there yet.
