Friday night (8-15-08) my wife pointed out the moon and the clouds. We're visiting family in Florida this week, so these are shots from on the canal behind my in-laws house. As for color, I was really surprised by the red halo created in the clouds. I've been shooting a lot this week, so check below for shots of manatee and dolphin at my in-laws fishing camp, and further below for shots of the new (1 year old) stadium on the campus of the University of Central Florida (where I learned to shoot).

The sky looks odd, doesn't it? It is actually similar to the sky here earlier tonight... my son even made a mention of how the clouds were. We didn't have the red color though. Hope you're having a nice time visiting! =) Mine won't be up 'til 2am... but it's ready and waiting!
The green light looks so eerie... very creative photos! What causes the red halo? Was it warm that evening?
I also did Photo Hunt. Come share your link! :) http://newyorktraveler.net/photo-hunters-colorful/
The moon had a similar look here last night, but my camera is horrible at night shots.
Great shots! We see moons like that sometimes here, too.
I have yet to learn to take night shots like that.
thanks for visiting my photohunt.

Those are amazing pics. My son took my camera last weekend and was trying to shoot an amazing sunset. There was a huge blue streak that showed up in every pic. We live in Fl and I can't ever seem to change a dolphin in a photo!! Thanks for coming by and visiting my photo hunt.
Ooh, nice shots! The 3rd one is my favorite! :)
Happy Monday! :)
