Friday Flashback - Hometown Tribute

In the 1980's the "ATL" was known as Atlanta and was a prime source for college radio's developing acts. R.E.M. and the B-52's both came from Athens, GA, a little town about an hour East of Atlnata that is home to the University of Georgia. The Indigo Girls are actually from Atlanta. I remember before the pop explosion that took REM to the mainstream they would play 5-7 nights in a row at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta.

REM - Shiny Happy People

REM - Stand

The B-52's - Roam
